MARGIE'S PRIORITIES FOR THE 27TH DISTRICT
As a dedicated citizen committed to the well-being and progress of our great State of Delaware, I am excited to announce my candidacy for State Representative. Working together, we can embark on a journey to improve the lives of every resident in the 27th District.
My business experience has given me an understanding of the importance of economic growth and sustainability. I am eager to bring this expertise to the realm of public service, advocating for policies that will create jobs, support small businesses, and strengthen our economy, but my commitment doesn't end there. With a deep-rooted belief in the transformative power of education, I have dedicated significant time and effort to advocating for quality public education and equitable opportunities for all. From volunteering in classrooms to opening a charter school, I have seen firsthand the impact that a strong educational foundation can have on individuals and communities.
My vision for our district includes the following key priorities:

Education Excellence: Every child deserves access to a high-quality education, regardless of their background or zip code. I will fight for increased and equitable funding for our schools, better resources for our teachers, and innovative programs that prepare students for success in their career and life. Our families deserve to have choices in their pursuit for the best education for their child. The educational needs of children begin at birth, so I will advocate for affordable quality childcare and universal Pre-K programs. These programs are critical to support the needs of our working families and address existing labor shortages.

Economic Prosperity: I will work tirelessly to maintain and strengthen the economy of our great State by attracting new businesses, supporting existing ones, and fostering an environment where entrepreneurship thrives. By investing in infrastructure, promoting workforce development, and strengthening our early childhood through 12th grade education system, we can ensure that our economy continues to grow and prosper.

Community Engagement: Building a better future requires collaboration and engagement from every member of our community. I want to be your State Representative to advocate for the collective needs of our community. I am committed to listening to your concerns, working together to find solutions, and ensuring that you have a voice in the future of our community. I have seen many changes in our district during my 33 years living here, especially the growth in residential development. As our district continues to grow, it is important to stay connected as neighbors and to work together to ensure changes are always in the best interest of our residents.

Environment Sustainability: My campaign stands for sustainable policies that prioritize clean energy, conservation of natural habitats, and reduction of pollution. Protecting our environment can no longer be a choice, but a responsibility we owe to our planet and future generations. Like all grandparents, I want my grandchildren and their children to inherit a land with plentiful natural resources. To accomplish this goal, we need to implement initiatives that promote renewable energy sources, invest in green technologies, and encourage responsible consumption and waste management practices.
I humbly ask for your support and your vote in the upcoming primary election. All of my years in public service has fueled my passion to support our children, families and communities in their pursuit of a quality education, thriving economy, clean environment and safe communities. With your vote on September 10th, we can work together to make our shared vision a reality.
